Purple Spinel Dragon

This is the original acrylic painting for the print Purple Spinel Dragon. The gemstone dragon series of 5x7 inch prints began with a set of twelve birthstones but kept on going... after all, there are many more pretty gemstones than just the birthstones. Each of them should have a dragon too!

This painting is triple matted and freshly framed - the inside edge of the frame measures 10 x 13 inches. This dragon is very purple indeed. The accents on both the originals aand the prints are Swarovski crystals.
