Prints - 8x10

These are the same little dragons who have appeared in several other pieces, most recently "Cake Shop" and "Math is Hard," along with "Defending the Thesis" and "Research Project." Here they are in "Astronomy Is Fun." The little dragons are probably looking for Comet C/2019 Y4 Atlas. Will it turn brighter and put on a show, or will it break up and fizzle? They want to know. They got tired of waiting for Betelgeuse to explode, but the comet could be big, bright, and green and that would make them happy. Buccaneer Princess once had a very different life, but she fell in love and ran away. After that didn't work out, through life's winding road, she found herself a Princess among pirates. She's perched atop the highest mast, but is she looking forward or thinking about her princess past? If you look closely, though she's lost an ear tip on her journeys, she still has princess shoes and a pink satin underskirt.

The first of a series of pirate cat prints. I was lucky enough to have a friend who had a one eyed cat model for this piece, and the cat's name was Jack. Jack has since passed on, but I know he'd approve of this piece- he liked to wear costumes and had his own kitty-sized red cape. So here is Capn' Jack, on his yet to be named ship.

Herbie the Marauder - Herbie has single-handedly located and recovered Maroonbeard's treasure. He did it alone because he didn't want to share - after all, there are only two mouse toys and one ball among the gold coins...

Kit Calico - a bold calico adventuress modeled on my late elderly Miss Kitty. Kit relaxes with a drink, but pirate mice are trying to haul away treasure. Kit doesn't seem too worried.
